Not a Suggestion Box

About a month ago, the president of MasterLube, Craig Godfrey, introduced something new into the waiting room of each MasterLube location. A small wooden box with a simple label on the front, "Human Moments." Next to the box was a thin pad of paper with a simple request printed on the top of each sheet - "Please share a Human Moment with us. What's a Human Moment - just ask!" The staff was instructed that if someone asked what a "human moment" was, that they were to reply that its simply any interaction, good or bad, between people. It could be something that happened at MasterLube, or something completely unrelated to our business. Its certainly not a suggestion box - its far more than that!
The responses so far are quite typical - people thanking us for our service and others making suggestions (which we never get tired of hearing!). But one of the small sheets of paper stood out from the bunch. It was written by a young child named Chamique. Any by the careful handwriting and proud signature at the bottom, it was easy to see what a wonderful and exciting moment it was for them. We were so happy they shared it with us.
The note simply said "When I played basketball and took 2nd."
